Full name:
Joseph Smits
About:
I'm currently an associate software engineer at my job, I recently moved up into this coding position from quality assurance testing. I've done some coding outside of work, but I've learned an immense amount lately learning from the more experienced programmers at my job. Most of my recent experience has been using Unity3d in client-side work along with utilizing C# with MonoDevelop.
Of course, I'm a huge fan of games, but not just video games. I really enjoy card and board games as well. I've even run some board game nights at work before. I'm a gamer, a coder, but also a writer. I've done improvisational writing, gone to some conferences, and written game reviews over at GamersInfo.net.
So, all in all I'd say I love games, love learning new ways to make them, and learning how to improve as a programmer and writer. I've worked at different game studios, and a little bit here and there on personal side projects with small groups. I'm excited to try my hand at helping in a game jam, and welcome having fun while learning and creating with other gamers/developers.
