Global Game Jam for Austin, Texas 2023!
Howdy my friends and welcome to the Austin Global Game Jam for 2023! We're back in-person and excited to make some cool games together!
All are welcome to participate, from beginners to pros—nyone that wants to jam with Austin, TX!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Change to Online-Only
Due to overflow and logistical concerns and cancellations of our larger site location, we've made the decision to revert to online-only again for the 2023 Austin GGJ. We encourage you to meet up with your team members in smaller groups, and we'll provide a list of recommended locations for outdoor seating.
LOCATION: Online on Discord!
- We'll be jamming entirely online via our Discord: https://discord.gg/NNmvHGXf7Y
- We'll have kickoff and end-of-jam presentations, and virtual standups regularly!
- While this is an event centered around Austin, Texas, it is not necessary for all jam team members to be located in Austin for this jam! If you have teammates in other cities/states/countries, they're totally welcome!
- However, if your team is fully in Austin, we encourage you to meet up with your team members in smaller groups, and we'll provide a list of recommended locations for outdoor seating.
COMMUNICATION: Discord
- We will be making use of a Discord server for announcements and discussion throughout the jam. It is recommended that every jammer have access to the platform in order to raise their questions, find important information, or catch the latest announcements.
