When a Mole gets back home, he realizes his family has been kidnapped by a horde of angry worms. They seek revenge for their fallen comrades, that have been eaten by moles in the past. The mole will get help from some "enchanted roots" that grow quickly when sprinkled with water, to soften the hard soil that cannot be dug out. While father mole tries to recover his family, the worms, and fellow insects try to stop him and the "ongoing bug slaughter".
