Help us kick off the new year with a new jam!
Philly Game Mechanics is a community of developers, hobbyists, and enthusiasts on a mission to grow the game development community in Philadelphia through monthly meetups, show & tells, tournaments, and game jams.
Out of an abundunce of caution, this year's jam will once again be hosted entirely virtually. After registering, please use the Discord invite below to join our server. All communication will go through our server here:

IMPORTANT SCHEDULING UPDATE:
After holding a public townhall with the community and putting it to a vote with our registered jammers, we're gonna switch it up a bit this year! Please check out our revised schedule:
Thursday January 20th @7pm ET
Jam Kickoff
Join us as we officially kick off the jam by getting inspired/hyped by previous Philly GGJ submissions, reviewing available resources, forming teams & networking, and (of course) revealing the jam theme!
Thursday January 27th @7pm ET
Jam Check-In
An opportunity for everyone to show off their progress, ask for advice/feedback, and for anyone who hasn't started yet, find collaborators to team up with.
Sunday January 30th @5pm ET
Jam Wrap-Up Celebration
Celebrate everyone's awesome work with a virtual celebration and jam recap.
You are not required to attend all three events to participate. We'll be posting the jam's keynote and any important updates in the Discord. The Kickoff and Check-In events are mainly critical for participants looking to network and form teams. But of course we encourage everyone to join in for all 3 if possible!
Please note: Though the jam will be open for all 10 days, please keep in mind that the spirit of the jam is still 48 hours of production. We're hoping that this extended timeframe will allow more people to participate, reduce the stressful setup process for new creators, and reduce the overall "crunch" feeling of the event.
