Jam Site Description:

We are meeting in a new place this year!!!! Please check the address above and the links below for maps to get to the IT Center on the Frisco Campus of Collin College.

Friday Evening will be a Start Meeting held in PFIT-116

After introductions and orientation to the space, we will watch the keynote and the theme announcment (for those who long for "the good old days.") The theme for this years Global Game Jam was announced on January 20th, so go view it already!

We have access to most of the first floor of the IT Center, including common areas, conference rooms, and labs open for theme brainstorming before game pitches.

During the game pitches, we will write each idea on the whiteboards in 116 and then everyone can join the teams with the ideas they find interesting. Please allow others to join your team if they sign up under your game pitch since the game jam is a good way to meet new people and network. Each team should have a producer, responsible for creating the team and uploading the game and its assets to the GGJ website.

We ask that everyone participating register on the GGJ site (here) and you will be asked to confirm your registration on-site when you arrive.

We have access to most labs on the first floor, with the exception of some labs where classes are being held. We will have a GameJam access schedule and also schedules on lab doors -- please do not disturb ongoing classes! There are conference rooms in the PFIT-108 digital commons area. Restrooms are close-by and there is a water faucet for refilling water bottles.

Food and drink are not allowed at computer workstations but are allowed at tables and in conference rooms. Drinks are allowed in closable containers. Garbage should be thrown into hallway receptacles (no food in labs/classroom trash cans).

We will jam all day Saturday! Currently, meals are on your own and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, especially along Preston Rd. We welcome sponsorships for meals from interested companies.

We will present our games in the afternoon on Sunday.

Then, we will take our traditional picture by the stairs!
