IGDATC is organizing a virtual site for the 2022 Global Game Jam! Come brainstorm, collaborate, and create! Whether a seasoned veteran, or someone just curious about game development, this event is for you! We welcome jammers making all types of games - digital, hardware/alternate controllers, and tabletop.
For the safety of our board and community, IGDATC has decided to move to an all virtual format for Global Game Jam 2022. This is a change from when our site was first published. We apologize for any confusion, and hope to be back in person again next year.

Do I need to bring a team?
Most people form teams after the pitching/brainstorming, but it is fine to join with a group, or just work alone. You will still get plenty of feedback and fun. It is also okay to work on multiple team/projects - audio and art has been in short supply in previous years.
What do I need to know about the site itself?
We are partnering with Amber Waves of Games this year to encourage more Midwest mingling. We will be using the AWG Discord for the jam. Please join prior to the event! We encourage you to check out what our geographically close neighbors are working on, and maybe collaborate with them!
Anything else I should know?
Check out the official Global Game Jam FAQs for additional information. Contact us if you have any questions. Happy jamming!
