Hello! If you are in Edinburgh or the surrounding area please come and join us to make some cool games, weird interactive thing, or any other game adjacent stuff! We welcome everyone from programmers, sound and music designers, board game creators, and alt-controller builders!
After a break due to COVID last year, we are keen to have this event return with a cautious bang. As we are on a University campus, we will be following relevant Scottish Government guidance for COVID safety, and will request face mask wearing, 1 meter social distancing between teams, and evidence of Lateral Flow Tests/Vaccine Passports required. There are plans afoot to invite local developers and businesses to get involved, too! Look out for more information closer to the event.
We will be located in the JKCC at Merchiston Campus, which provides space for 100 people, with plenty of space for you to set up a team, or find a quiet place to work by yourself. We will supply power and wifi, but please don't bring a big gaming PC as it can cause issues, so stick to your laptop! Oh, and if you do want to make anything physical, please be aware you won't have access to a workshop, so no soldering and/or power tools on site!
You will receive an invite to the Discord sometime after registering. Closer to the event we will email out jammer info packs which will include more information, along with the GGJ and our site's Code of Conduct.
I will be taken the reigns as organiser again, helped out by other familar faces from the local community, and hopefully some eager Napier students.
P.S. Although the venue will be open 24 hours, we'll be encouraging jammers to practice good physical and mental health... in other words, we're wanting you to go home and sleep, so please ensure you have somewhere to stay!
Registration will be 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday the 28th, with the keynote and team formation after that.
