In K-Class Calamity, you are aboard a rather quirky steam-powered submarine that is loosely based on the infamous K-Class submarines of the British Navy in 1920. Just like its real-world namesake, calamity strikes on board your vessel and you must try to survive until help arrives by repairing leaks and keeping power for as long as possible. The game commences on board the sub and you very quickly realise you are in trouble.
Leaks start springing in the inner hull, buoyancy is too badly affected to surface and abandon ship, and the inner vessel is flooding. Your only hope is to survive until rescue comes by staving off as many leaks as possible while keeping your systems online, managing malfunctions as they crop up, and sending regular SOS messages to facilitate your rescue.
