Jam Site Description: 

Join the award winning game development team at WGU for the most experienced Global Game Jam site in Wales. Our Jam is supported by a team of experienced developers from both academia and the games industry. We will be hosting a live feed, Q&A and a number of activities throughout the jam weekend.

Our site has 24-hour security and is open for the entire 48 period. Shower and changing facilities are also available on site.

Our Jam is open to ALL (attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult). Basic training can be provided on site, along with access to art and craft materials for those wishing to engange in non-digital game projects.

Games Wales is a non-profit industry group made up of Welsh games developers, educational institutions, media partners and industry bodies with a shared interest in growing and promoting the games industry in Wales. The core principles of Games Wales are:

  • to champion Wales as a place to make games.
  • to champion the games industry in general.
  • to grow the Welsh games industry.
  • to represent the industry’s interests, and act as an advocate on behalf of the Welsh industry.
