Segmentation Fault (Team Dynomite)

Two robots are teleported to a ship to make repairs before malfunctions destroy it. Due to a transporter segmentation fault, the control modules of the two robots are swapped. The robots see the world from their 'eyes', but can only control each other and not themselves. Communicating only by means of an emergency chirp, they must find a way of meeting physically so that the control modules can be swapped back and allow the robots to complete their mission.

Installation Instructions:

Unpack the file and run the executable.

This is a two player cooperative game. You can create a room or join a room. When creating a room you can select a level.

If there are problems with connections or the game does not run properly, you may need to restart.

Use the WASD or Arrow keys to move. Use the space bar to chirp. You must both arrive at a repair station. Start at level 1. The station is in the centre of the room. You are not supposed to talk with your partner, but only use the chirp to communicate.

Make sure no controllers are plugged in if you want to use the keyboard.

XBOX USB controllers are supported.

Now the Game Jam is over, we are working on reliability of the networking and better controller support.

The game mechanics and design developed from our initial brainstorming session. Hopefully, it should be self evident how this idea fits the theme.
